Portrait Tattoo Artist Near Greensboro, NC
Portrait, Pet Portrait & Black and Grey Realism Tattoos
Custom black and grey realism, about an hour east of Greensboro on I-40
A portrait asks more of a tattoo artist than any other subject. A face only reads as a likeness when the proportions, the light, and the small asymmetries are right. A pet portrait has to carry that same likeness through fur, eyes, and expression. This is the work Brian Parrillo has built his career on.
Brian is an academically trained fine artist and portrait oil painter, and he has been tattooing for more than twelve years. He founded Ethereal Tattoo Gallery in downtown Durham in 2018. Today, clients travel to him from across North Carolina and across the country for human and pet portraits in black and grey realism.
For clients in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Burlington, and across the Triad, the studio is a straight drive east on I-40 and I-85, about an hour from Greensboro.
What Brian tattoos
Human portraits: memorial portraits, family portraits, celebrity portraits, and lady faces
Pet portraits: dogs, cats, and the animals people consider family
Black and grey realism: detailed subjects rendered with depth and texture
The studio also offers fine line and illustrative work.
